Bernice "Irene" Wilcox of Lansing, Michigan

With her family by her side, Irene went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at the age of 87. Irene was born July 25, 1927 in Dewitt, Michigan. Quick-witted and determined as always, she brought tearful laughter to her loved ones through her final days.

Irene enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Throughout life, she loved to play bingo and games, do puzzles, travel and paricipate in church activities. During her senior years, she attended South Church. Her collection of dolls, keepsakes,...

With her family by her side, Irene went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at the age of 87. Irene was born July 25, 1927 in Dewitt, Michigan. Quick-witted and determined as always, she brought tearful laughter to her loved ones through her final days.

Irene enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Throughout life, she loved to play bingo and games, do puzzles, travel and paricipate in church activities. During her senior years, she attended South Church. Her collection of dolls, keepsakes, and collectibles will be treasured memories for her children, granchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Minier and Bernice Schneeberger; husband, Sidney; daughter, Karen; brother, Raymond and sister, Dorothy. She is survived by her brother, Gaylord Minier and sister, Teresa Griffiths (Jeff); three children, Linda Wilcox, Lorrie Roland (Anson), and Paul Wilcox (Annette); her seven grandchildren, Jason Shank (Amy), Heather Kinsey (Mike), Chris Shank (Amber), Mitchell Wilcox (Julia), Mark Wilcox (Brenda), Michael Wilcox (Sammi), Shannon Neller (Randy) and Ron Fuller; and by her twenty-two great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home in East Lansing. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment will be at East Lawn Memory Gardens in Okemos, MI. A memorial dinner will take place at Faith Bible Church in Lansing following the interment.
