Bruce Vance Bryde, age 92, went to be with his Lord on January 8, 2018. He was reunited with his wife Vivian who preceded him in death in 2011. Bruce was also preceded by his parents Ford and Edna, brothers Francis and Leon as well as his sisters Beulah (Don) Hein, Ruth (Harold) Nelson, Barbara Gentner, brother-in-law Harry Peterson, and sisters-in-law Marlene Clark and Lois (Allen) Schroeder. Surviving are children Susan (Mark) Benson, Bruce Alan (Shelly) Bryde; grandchildren, Chad Benson, Heidi (Brian) Misaras, Jacob Bryde, Jordan (Ali) Bryde; great grandchildren, Cayra, Baylen Vance, Sawyer Bryde,...

Bruce Vance Bryde, age 92, went to be with his Lord on January 8, 2018. He was reunited with his wife Vivian who preceded him in death in 2011. Bruce was also preceded by his parents Ford and Edna, brothers Francis and Leon as well as his sisters Beulah (Don) Hein, Ruth (Harold) Nelson, Barbara Gentner, brother-in-law Harry Peterson, and sisters-in-law Marlene Clark and Lois (Allen) Schroeder. Surviving are children Susan (Mark) Benson, Bruce Alan (Shelly) Bryde; grandchildren, Chad Benson, Heidi (Brian) Misaras, Jacob Bryde, Jordan (Ali) Bryde; great grandchildren, Cayra, Baylen Vance, Sawyer Bryde, Blake and Bennett Misaras, Bruce's brother Archie (Pat) Bryde and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Bryde, Carol Bryde and Betty Peterson, and brother-in-law Dr. Alpha Clark.

Bruce grew up on a farm and graduated from Eaton Rapids High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bruce worked as a supervisor for Fisher Body, attended Pennway Church of God and served for over 50 years as the organist. He supported the church in many ways with his wife Vivian, including Sunday School and Grief Share. Bruce had a great love for God and his family. He will be remembered as a wise, humble, strong man.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Pennway Church of God, 1101 E. Cavanaugh, Lansing, MI with the Rev. John Davey officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 4-7pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing and 1 hour prior to services at the church.
