Obituary

Dennis James Vaillancourt, 57, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 21, 2016. He was born in Lansing, Michigan to James and Marilyn (Barnes) Vaillancourt.

Dennis James Vaillancourt, 57, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 21, 2016. He was born in Lansing, Michigan to James and Marilyn (Barnes) Vaillancourt.

Dennis, like his father, was direct, opinionated and hardly lost a bet. But he was also very gentle and a true father figure to many, offering the shirt off his back to anyone. He loved his grandkids, and enjoyed sharing his hobbies of golfing, camping, fishing but especially hunting with his ever growing family. His strong work ethic was notable, he was sure to instill good morals, and he could fix anything. But above all, he was very proud of his children and made sure everyone was aware of that.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his good friend, Robert "Bob" Beach.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Cherie; his children, Karen Elizabeth (Nick) Martin, Keith David (DeDee) Rowley, Megan Cherie (Tyler) Bender, Travis James (and his dog Stella), and Kristen Ann (Eddie) Freeman; his grandchildren, Paris, Brooklyn, William James, Madison, Nolan, Sydney, Chase James, Siearah, Tyler Jr., Tristen, Arianna, and Jace; many nieces and nephews; his sister, Laura Jean Morenzetti and his brother, David Brian Vaillancourt.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November, 26, 2016 at 11:00am at Valley Farms Baptist Church, 1141 E. State Rd., Lansing, Michigan, with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Valley Farms Baptist Church in his name.

The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel. Online condolences may be expressed at www.grlansing.com
