Madeline Amato McCrea, born on June 6, 1914 in Wheeler, Michigan, the daughter of the late Emerson and Evah (Kincade) Clark and passed away March 27, 2015 at the age of 100. She lived most of her life in Lansing. She married William Amato in 1935 and they had three children together. Their first little girl, Saundra Louise, died at birth. Her beloved son, David, passed away in 2014. Madeline loved her family and her church and spent a lot of time with each. She was "Deaconess" for four years...

Madeline Amato McCrea, born on June 6, 1914 in Wheeler, Michigan, the daughter of the late Emerson and Evah (Kincade) Clark and passed away March 27, 2015 at the age of 100. She lived most of her life in Lansing. She married William Amato in 1935 and they had three children together. Their first little girl, Saundra Louise, died at birth. Her beloved son, David, passed away in 2014. Madeline loved her family and her church and spent a lot of time with each. She was "Deaconess" for four years and did all the decorating for "Secret Pal" Christmas parties. She loved interior decorating and collecting antiques for her home. Madeline married Lotan "Mac" McCrea in 1978, after the death of her first husband. They spent their winters in Lakeland, Florida and their summers in Charlevoix. She later moved back to Lansing for her remaining years. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Saundra; son, David; first husband, William Amato; second husband, Lotan "Mac" McCrea; and sister, Evelyn Furney. Surviving to cherish her memory are son, Brian (Teresa) Amato of Traverse City; daughter-in-law, Patricia Amato of Lansing; six step-grandchildren; eleven step-great grandchildren; and one step great-great grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Pennway Church of God, 1101 E. Cavanaugh, Lansing, 48910. The family will receive friends from 2:00~4:00 p.m. and 6:00~8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing.
